12 September 2009

It has been a long few months and a very sick pregnancy!! Our family has adapted and we are seeeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We have endured many days of sickness and medical trips that ended in good news. We rejoice that our son is healthy and growing well. I have had more ultrasounds than anyone could imagine. But we know God has a plan for this boy and we can't wait to meet him.

I now know why Sarah laughed when God said she would concieve a son. The older we get it definately gets harder. With God's help we have continued homeschooling and activities. He has given me enough strength and endurance just when I need it. I have finally stopped getting sick, I now just deal with normal pregnancy stuff. Thank you God!!!

We have started our school year and it is really going well. Samantha has taken on the 5th grade with no hesitation. She is a blesing in school and in our home. She is growing into a wonderful young woman of God. She is an excellent cook, a wonderful big sister and she loves the Lord very much. God has shaped her heart into something wonderful.

Taylor is still our sweet snuggler. She has begun the 3rd grade and has matured so much this year. I can see her growing spiritually each day. She is taking on more responsiblity and is a willing helper in our home. I praise God for her. She endures with her allergies and we thank God for her.

Katie girl, she is doing small bits of school. She has learned to write her name and does it proudly and many times over!! Her permanship is actually quite amazing for her age. She is enjoying learning her letters and being a kid!! She loves her baby brother (who is about her size) and is definatley Mommas girl!! Katie is quite silly, very independent and has a vocabulary that amazes us. She is silent to those she does not know. But if she allows you in, wow what a treat!!

Bub aka Zachary, the other day at our homeschool co-op, Bub went up and turned off a video and all the little kids yelled BUB!!! I just laughed, I am not sure how many people know his name is Zach... He is a baby in a boys body. He is now almost 16 mts. weighs close to 30lbs and eats like a 10 year old. The best part of Bub is his smile. He can make you laugh even when you shouldn't be laughing... That is the hardest part. He loves to be loved and hugged. He is super friendly and waves to everyone, even if their not looking. He loves to run, play and climb. But as I am learning , this climbing thing seems to be common in boys. When I ask him where our baby is, he lifts the edge of my shirt and sticks his finger in my belly button. I think that is the sign he is going to be a great big brother!!

Ahhhh, Jason.... Work is good, he is not deployed and we are thankful. We watch husbands come and go over here and we praise God for keeping our family together. He has been faithful in getting our family to enjoy Okinawa- snorkeling, surfing and sailing. He is actually out with the girls rite now, sailing up at Orawon(?). His job is good and allows great family time. He is still enjoying the surf here and waiting on his new surf board....

Well, off to make the most of our quiet home. Baby counter.....99 days and counting.....
